• Zygomycota are charaterized by coenocytic, multi-nucleate, hyphae.
• They are named for their reproductive structures known as zygosporangia.

Not disscused, various Zygomycetes below

Examples:

Rizopus (bread mold)

• Rizopus is a mold.

Phycomyces

• Common names include: dung fungus

Pilobolus

• Another dung fungus but also called a "cap thrower"

Entomophthora

• A parasite of flies
